Converse Manicure

Just about everyone who does nail art runs across this design at one time or another.  It's really popular and cute, not to mention easy!  It took me about 10 minutes to do both hands (not including prep and dry time).  The key to making this Converse manicure look good is being colourful and having a steady hand (I sneezed when I made the middle finger, as you can see).

I used all drugstore nail polish costing between $1 and $6.  My base and top coat are Sally Hansen along with the white.  You see most Converse manicures with double laces but I recently cut my nails and I found it more difficult without my dotting pen so I stuck to just one X shape and kept it safe.  If you want another lace just draw it directly on top of the other and make 2 more black dots.

This can be a cute statement nail to wear to school or on a fun shopping trip.  You can switch around the colours and just go crazy with it.

I would give this nail art:

5 stars for creativity and ease!

Shatter Nail Art

This is a simple to do nail art pattern based on shattering glass.  This was made with the Bundle Monster Stamp plate #208 that I bought in a set off 25 different plates (about $21.99).

I used a drugstore black, Rimmel London's Black Satin.  I find that this nail polish is one of the best I own to use on the nail stamper because it's not too thick but it still gets picked up by the rubber stamp.  The aqua colour I used was from my Influenster box, SinfulShine's At Sea.  I've done other manicures with this colour and I can't help but fall in love with it everytime.  The colour is a perfect mix of baby blue and mint and I get tons of compliments on how it brings out my green eyes.

I started with the Sally Hansen Strengthening Base & Top Coat.

Then I added Two Coats of At Sea and another top coat.  After everything was dry I scraped the Black Satin on the Bundle Monster plate, picked it up with the rubber stamper, and stamped it onto the nail horizontally.  I then switched to the other shatter pattern and stamped it on the accented ring finger.  I finished the nail design with another top coat.

This is an easy nail art pattern perfect for the summer time.

In all I give it:
5 Stars
